Fashion : Match made in Heaven

New Zealand is very seasonal, but not, if that makes sense. Our crazy weather patterns mean that you can start the day with clear blue skys, but come time to head out for lunch its turned into something straight out of the Wizard of Oz, especially if your a Wellingtonian. Which means your ballet flats or open toed sandals have turned into a soggy mess after you step out of your car into a giant puddle.

Shoes, to me, are core ingredients to your wardrobe. They allow you to be versatile and give purpose to where your destination maybe. I love shoes and the effect that it can have on an outfit. You can graduate any outfit to the next level just by shoes alone.

See how celebs transform a basic outfit of Jeans and a Tee just by changing it up in the shoe department. Notice also how accesorizing comes into play to exaggerate the look of casual to glam. Just by adding certain accesories you are able to personalise it to suit your individual style.

Havaiana Jandals, a NZ staple. Check out Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham and SJP. Super Style Icons keeping it lak with Jeans, a Tee and Havaianas. You can be a yummy mummy too!

Canvas Sneakers, or in my case my trusty pair of white vans or chuck taylors. Check out Gisele Bundchen below keepin it cool and casual.

Ballet flats like Whitney Port below. She may have glammed it up a little with a gold sequined blazer, but she's still rocking jeans and ballets.

Wedged Heels like the Kardashian sisters. Same outfit, but with different shoes they are able to keep their individual styles.

Boots were good enough for Kimora Mrs Fabulosity and Tyra Ms Smize at an NBA game.

Heels heels and more heels. Round toe, peep toe, T-Bar, square front, patent, suede, strappy, beaded, colorful. The sky is the limit, especially when it comes to high heel heights. Here we have Beyonce, Fergie and Heidi Klum all sporting the Christian Louboutin Daffodile in Teal Watersnake.

Here is a guide to high heel heights. Anyone can master walking in heels, all it takes is a little practise around the house to train your foot and ankle into being in that position. Balancing your weight onto the correct points of your foot is also a key point. So next time your home alone and getting ready to do some housework pop on some heels for 5 mins. Sitting down and wearing heels is also a good way to train your foot to be at certain angles. So even while your facebooking, or reading my blog, throw on a pair of heels for a bit of fun ladies.

Lastly, check out the Queen of Skyscrapers Lady Gaga. She may not always be able to walk in them but she is devoted none the less. High heels for her are the ultimate extension of her personality and outfits. Imagine what these creations would look like without her trademark Alexander McQueens?!?! It just wouldnt be the same, and wouldnt be Gaga.
