Haus of Hiria : Under Construction

Over the last 2 weeks I've been challenging myself to reconstruct my new life here in Melbourne. I've really gone back to basics about my skill set, my strengths and my passions. This has meant research, research and more research. I'm still operating off my iPad and 4gb of data. No cellphone, you guys know what I'm like with them. So anytime I see free wifi, hook it up! There are super cheap unlimited data plans here for homes but because we're house hunting there's no point in setting that up right now. Just ride it out until then.

I've decided to commit to daily blogging in order to set up a routine of putting time back into me and the things I'm interested in. Im also a tiny bit scared that talking to my 4year old everyday may turn me lala loopsy. So to keep me, and my mind going I've slowly started to find other women who blog about their family, fashion, food and everything in between. That's been such a comforting feeling. I know there are plenty of us out there that feel this way. That sense of connection and belonging to whatever that one thing maybe. I'm just used to sharing those moments in person over a hot mocca. So to be able to get that reassurance online from other women who ive never met has not only made me feel connected but also normal.

After scrolling for hours and days at different blogs I now had a more clearer picture of how I'd like to present myself online. My posts were to say the least a bit stuck in the mud. They were there but not as organised, clear and concise as other bloggers. I also saw no personality in the way my blog looked visually. I needed to think about design, layout, format etc. Which lead me to that lightbulb moment. Your ready to buy your own www address. I knew that this was something that I had to do eventually when the time came. Ding, it's time. When I do unveil it I want it to be looking super fabulous with all the bells and whistles.

Just to note I've divided my posts into 2 labels. Fashion and NBTN. NBTN stands for Nothing but the Nihas. Anything with this label will be a family related blog topic. I noticed that there was hardly any food posts even though I live in the kitchen. So I need to start posting recipes that my family and I experiment with. Music is also a big part of my life so Ill need to also be a bit more diligent with that topic too.

So once again thanks for following my journey. Have a laugh, have a cry, learn something new, whatever you like. I'm just glad you shared it with me xxx Heds
