Hey Everyone. Big family weekend here in Craigieburn. Did a bit of house hunting, picked up Niko from the airport, weekly shopping for the first time at Coles and Aldi's and everything in between like using some elbow grease and nugget to make our girls some winter boots for school.
As shown in the shots we had a pair of tan and pink suede timberland boots. This will be the last winter that our girls will have in their boots so my sister and I decided to have a bash at using the old shoe polish to turn them black so they can wear them as school shoes.
What you'll need:
1. Kiwi Parade Gloss Prestige shoe polish in Black as pictured.
2. Kiwi Self Shining Polish in Black as pictured to finish.
2. Sponge, Brush - we used an Odd sock
3. Small Brush - we used an old lipstick makeup brush
Here's how we did it:
1. One layer of nugget shoe polish. We applied it with a odd sock on our hand and rubbed it in, with protective gloves underneath.
2. Apply a 2nd layer where required. Paying attention to the creases, lace eyelets and stitching.
3. Using a fine brush start cutting right into the where the shoe and the sole meets. Also any other areas which are still explored. Once again paying attention to stitching areas and the lace eyelets.
4. Apply a finishing coat of
5. Re-lace boots with black laces and Voila! Ready to go.
This was such a cool project. My sister and I sitting in the sun in our pjs listening to Dangelo on a Sunday afternoon. Hope you had a great weekend as well peeps.
